Q. Hi, I have just read my son the first book in the series, "The Snot Goblin" which he loves.

I note from the inside blurb that Snot limited is in Invercargill, however an Aussie website says that Mira is based in Sydney. So is it a NZ book or an Aussie book?

As for your question - The Snotgoblin what you might call Antipodean. 
Mira was born in  the deep south of New Zealand (Southland) but now lives in Sydney and is about to become an Australia citizen so will be both a Kiwi and Australian.  The illustrator, Heath McKenzie, is an Australian living in Melbourne.... so it's a little bit of both.  However, if you have a look at the posters on the walls of the room in the book you may just get an idea of 
where Snot is living . ..
