The Snotgoblin Website: Where do they come from?

Truth be know they aren’t just a figment of Mira’s imagination. Snotgoblins are actually a very little known clan of goblins that came from the hills and the mountains of everywhere, anywhere where there is a bit of a mountain, a cold wind and a good reason to have a runny nose.

Mira Mee met her first Snotgoblin when she was very young. She was out in the wop-wops (which is a long way from here) and was camping when a Snotgoblin called Wolp knocked on her tent door and asked if he could come in because it was cold outside and Mira Mee said “okay”.

Ever since then Snotgoblins have regularly visited Mira Mee (Wolp had a lot of relations). Snot is Wolp’s cousin twice removed and he first met Mira in a town called Dunedin. It was Snot who told Mira Mee all of the stories that make up the Snotgoblin series. It’s all true – just ask Snot!

As for Snotgoblins – well these days they live in closets and under-beds, places like that. Only a few live in caves in the mountains now. That is because Snotgoblins discovered humans, people like you and me and they think we are funny and just a little bit silly with some of the things we do. And of course they love playing tricks on us – often without us even knowing! But the Snotgoblins know all about it and they have a good laugh. Some people even say Snotgoblins are more like imps than goblins (but don’t say that to a Snotgoblin or he might sneeze on you).

Snotgoblins don’t just play tricks though – they actually do some pretty useful stuff like scare away bad monsters but I’m not supposed to talk about that. Mostly though they just make us happy and laugh a lot…. oh and did I mention they are just a little bit naughty?
