Ingredients
 
 

1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
¼ cup melted dark cooking chocolate
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts

(if you don’t like nuts you can put in chocolate chips or chopped sultanas)

 
     
 
Directions
 
 
  1. Heat the oven to 325°

  2. Grease an 8-inch square tin and sprinkle with flour
    Mix together the butter, sugar, and eggs and then beat until fluffy.
  3. Add the melted chocolate.
  4. Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl and then stir into the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the nuts, sultanas or chocolate chips
  6. Pour the mixture into your baking tin
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes (watching carefully)
  8. Cut brownies up while they are still warm but allow them to cool in the tin.
  9. Scrum when cool!
